First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

dell.com has this answer, we are not dell.
all 2000 errors are in the manual for errorss.
146 means.
hdd error, hard drive.
what you do is use F12 ePAS diagnosics.
power on
hammer f12 key
ePSA screen POP'ss
the click "through test"
the deselect all test but HDD
and run it, it will fail, because your unstated PC has a bad HDD.
then you will ask hot to fix bad hdd, answer replace it.
new HDD and a new OS.

all 2000 codes here

https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/sln116413/running-epsa-built-in-diagnostics-on-your-alienware-system?lang=en

IMac crash

Nearest I have to that is 4MOT/1/40000002:HDD. Hard drive fan. Check it is properly plugged in and it should be turning at 1000rpm at all times or 3000rpm if the drive is detected as too hot.

Error loading operating system

You will need to perform a repair install using a Windows CD. The current configuration on the hard drive was basically with an entirely different computer and thus, it does not know how to "talk" to the new hardware. The repair install should fix that and create a new Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) that will enable Windows to "talk" to the new hardware.

Dell screen comes on and trys to load up

Hi

Seems like the hard drive has failed, or there is no hard drive in the laptop, replace it with a new one.

This part of the service manual shows you how to replace it:

Toshia IDE #0 ERROR comes on the screen about 2 mins after starting then as follows is on the screen. .Intel (R) Boot Agent FE ver 1.10.PXE-E61 Media test failure check cable. PXE-MOF:Exiting Intel Boot...

This error is telling you that either one of three things have happened. 1. Your hdd cable has come loose or failed. 2. Your HDD has failed, or 3. the IDE controller on the motherboard has failed. You can check problems by trying a known good hdd in place of your old hdd. If bios sees it then it is the drive itself that is bad not the cable or controller. If it does not see the good hdd then try replacing the cable. If this fixes the problem then remove good drive & replace with your old hdd. Problem should be solved. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

CDBOOT: memory overflow error.

Hey there,

At first you need to tell me whether ur hard drive is sata or pata.

If u r having Sata drive then this error occurs due to absence of SCSI Controller driver.

Else if u r using PATA Drive then Try change the bios ssetting.

Go to advanced --> Sata Configuration --> and then disable SATA native mode.
Try out above mentioned solution it'll surely help you.

Thanx.

Gimme your acknowladge by rating my solution.
