Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I bought this headset at: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8763073&st=Logitech+-+ClearChat+Premium+PC+Headset&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1203815035169
I have had it for a few weeks now, and since it isn't USB, I seem to have a problem getting it to pick up as a microphone, but works fine for hearing audio. I clearly have one of the two plugs in the right slot, since I can hear sound.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: when I plug the headset
You have to make sure it is not muted. Some logitech headsets have a mute button for the mic on the cord e.g. the logitech comfort usb blinks when it is muted. Make sure it is not muted in windows also. Go to your sound
> click recording devices
> click the logitech one
> set default
> click properties
> levels (make sure the michophone is not muted and 100).
Also make sure it is the set microphone in the program you are using and not muted.
