Could you explain why you need the driver? As far as I'm aware, you don't need it.

You need a driver for the scsi controller not the drive. If the drive is attached to the motherboard directly the driver for xp will be on the IBM site for the model number of your computer. If the drive is attached to a raid card you need to get the drivers for the cards manufactuers site you dont need to pay anyone.

I can't installation windows xp. any solution?

Hello,

Step 1 - Start your PC and place your Windows XP CD in your CD/DVD-ROM drive. Your PC should automatically detect the CD and you will get a message saying "Press any key to boot from CD". Soon as computer starts booting from the CD your will get the following screen:
winxp1.jpg
Step 2 - At this stage it will ask you to press F6 if you want to install a third party Raid or SCSI driver. If you are using a an IDE Hard Drive then you do not need to press F6. If you are using a SCSI or SATA Hard drive then you must press F6 otherwise Windows will not detect your Hard Drive during the installation. Please make sure you have the Raid drivers on a floppy disk. Normally the drivers are supplied on a CD which you can copy to a floppy disk ready to be installed. If you are not sure how to do this then please read your motherboard manuals for more information.

Step 3 - Press S to Specify that you want to install additional device.
winxp3.jpg
Step 4 - You will be asked to insert the floppy disk with the Raid or SCSI drivers. Press enter after you have inserted the disk.
winxp4.jpg
Step 5 - You will see a list of Raid drivers for your HDD. Select the correct driver for your device and press enter.
winxp5.jpg
Step 6 - You will then get a Windows XP Professional Setup screen. You have the option to do a new Windows install, Repair previous install or quit. Since we are doing a new install we just press Enter to continue.

Configure & install two scsi disks scsi disks in ML 150 G2

The SCSI driver is required to installed during the initial boot up for installation when additional drivers are asked .the new models dont come with a Floppy drive so an external floppy drive can be used .The detection of HDD s must be at the startup by the Bios os SCSI card.

Sata HDD NOT DETECTING IN XP SETUP

If you're using a scsi card and connecting the hard drive to the card you need to have the scsi set-up floppy disk. When the blue screen starts during windows installation watch the bottom of the screen. It will tell you to press F6 key then to insert the floppy disk.
If you're using a sata drive connected directly to the motherboard (not in a raid configuration) you shouldn't need anything but the windows disk. The motherboard drivers and utilities disk should have the files to create the scsi install disk.

Hello, i have a Fujitsu Siemens Celsius R610 PC. I wiped the hard drive and trying to load a fresh MS Windows XP Prof on but it won't let me. Its saying it can't load or see the HD. any thoughts.

In order to fully install windows you need to have the driver loaded for your SCSI controller built into the mother board. Here: http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/com/support/downloads.html is the website to get the SCSI drivers. Just make a floppy disk with them and when you load windows setup from the disk when it asks you to press F6 to install third party drivers do so. Then just point to the disk and load them up. When windows finishes loading the rest of the drivers and starts the setup process your hard disks should now be accessible.

Installing Windows Server 2003 on a preinstalled Vista OS

The reason it is showing "no hard disk" is because you have a SATA hard drive, and there is no SATA support on the WS2003 software, so it doesn't even "see" the drive when trying to install.

What you can do is download SATA drivers for your hard drive to your machine. Once downloaded and/or extracted, restart the installation but choose F6 to load "SCSI or 3rd party drivers", then point to the downloaded drivers.

Your installation will then load the SATA drivers, thereby recognizing the hard drive and you'll be able to successfully install Windows.

Hope this helps - remember to rate :)

I can´t use a serial ata disk in a proliant 350

I know ATA disks are cheaper , but they don't last as long or are less reliable.

I do not recommend mixing SCSI and ATA .

Use one or the other , not both.

Do not try , unless your server is non critical.
If it is non critical , why bother with server , a PC will do as well.

Thanks
David
