Question about Sony Computers & Internet
If this is a laptop be sure the physical switch for the antenna on the laptop is turned on. Assuming you just got this back from repairs, they will sometimes disable the wireless connection as cpenzes was saying. Goto network connections and be sure your wireless is not set to disabled. If it is right-click icon and enable it. Ignore the 1394 wireless (this is for firewire and noted for connecting camcorders and such)
If this isn't it, I use Windows to setup my connections. In some cases like Dell, you have to turn off their software and then you should be able to double-click icon in lower left-hand corner (2 computers with red X over it" and either connect or it will ask for a security code to connect.
