Hi and welcome to FixYa,

The described condition could indicate several possibilities:

  • Demo Mode/Store Mode, for some reason you are locked in this mode used for display purposes;
  • weak signals, an external antenna is required and/or relocate/reposition the micro;
  • your current location is not within a DAB reception area hence unit could not pull in the stations;
  • firmware glitch; try unplugging for an extended period of time to revert unit back to factory defaults;
  • firmware fault, since new, it may be to your advantage to seek replacement from the point of purchase.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

The faint sound, like voice or pike program from somewhere is an interfeerence problem related to a bad shielding inside the unit, or a problem with hearphones cable.

The unit is probably defective , and in this case you do not fix this with settings.

Hi!

Please scan for all stations and save them first, then select them else they will not be saved and you have to retune each time.

Thanks
Rylee

    I think if that is not the case then your tuner is bad and you need to get your tuner checked.

How do I record FM radio programs and transfer them to my computer?

unfortunately, the voice recorder works only as voice recorder, it cannot play FM and record it at the same time. though you can play fm radio from another device and record it using your SanDisk mp3 player.

To transfer your recordings from your mp3 player, connect your device to your PC.

Open "My computer" from your PC and you'll there "your Sansa Player"

Double-click on "your Sansa Player", then open the "Music" folder, then, open "Recordings" folder.

You'll find all your recordings on that folder.

Radio for Sandisk model SDMX1

Press the AB button to toggle between Audio Play, Radio, and Voice Record. Use the left/right scroll to highlight Radio. Then press the center button or play/pause button once to select radio.

You will see FM Radio in the upper left corner of the display. Under that you will see either Preset followed by a number OR Channel. If it is on Preset, you can use the left/right scroll to switch between preset stations. If you press and hold the AB button, the player will scan through all frequencies to find the strongest stations in your area and set those as the default preset stations. When on a particular station, press and hold the record button to delete that station from your presets.

Press the center button once to switch to Channel (or back to Preset). Under Channel, you can manually scroll through the frequencies yourself. Push left or right and hold for about a second to find the next available station.

Press the play/pause button once to toggle between Mono and Stereo.

Those are all the functions I've found so far. Hope it helps.

Good luck,
vw

Turn the wheel to FM Radio (There's a picture of a radio beside it). Press the center of the wheel or right arrow to select
FM Radio. To scan for a station use the left and right arrow keys (to the left & right of the wheel). To add/delete/view preset station list press the down button (below the wheel).
