Question about Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Web Cam
I have installed the webcam, I have windows xp, i have updated to the newest version of Skype but it will not even see that I have a web cam installed. I have started and restarted updated the drivers and everything and yet it still will not recognize the problem. I have no idea what else to do. Can someone please help. I'm trying to share a video with my boyfriend on valentines day since we are far apart and I'd love to get it up and working today.
See section A. Skype in the info below to setup the Audio & Video.
Also send this to your family and friends so they have their computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://ca.messenger.yahoo.com/download/ ) set it up as follows:
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud
