The entire message reads "A GPS-signal is not available now. navigation will start automatically when a GPS-signal is available." I do not understand how this is possible. My husband has a different brand GPS and he can get a GPS inside our house. He has even taken the FineDrive 350 outside but still gets the same message. What am I doing wrong (other than possibly making a mistake by buying this GPS)?

- No, no warranty. I bought it from someone that bought it and left it sitting in the box for a long time. She sold it to me, and after I gave her the money, she said, "I don't even know if the thing works or not!" So, what a Joy (NOT) to find that I couldn't get a signal. I am wondering if an external antenna would help.
-   I,ve never had a problem with my FineDrive 350 GPS. All of a sudden, starting last week, it constantly tells me it is searching for a satellite signal, and will not find a signal at all now. Could the sattelites be damaged or made un-operational by fine drive due to economy?
I can not figure it out and everywhere I search, ITWO7VX can't find a ph # to talk with the company !

Try hinging the antenna out from the back and angling it so the words FineDrive point up at the sky. It often takes 5 or more minutes to find the satellite, but it always finds it.
