Unplug bass unit to cut down bass effect completely or check bass boost or groove setting in hifi setup menu to reduce bass.

Greetings. Unless the unit has a bass volume control on the sub itself the only way to lower the bass settings is through the built in eq and or dsgx settings (similar to a bass boost)

Sony mhc- rg 55 MECHA ERROR disc spin then turn off

My mhc-rg 55 shelf system reports a Mech error when I turn it on (after rotating the CD tray to try to take up each CD twice ) Then is shuts down.... I took the unit apart and saw noting obvious... (Of course it was more difficult to reassemble and still doesn't quite fit properly.) But the problem persists. Looks like it over to the repairer. Sorry - No solution here

  • It's all by ear. Every person is different. I like to turn the low up all the way. That's the base. I turn the highs almost all the way up and the mid levels midway between the middle and all the way to the top. above midway. This makes it loud with bass and the high pitch of a tweeter so you can hear the words and instrumentals and the mid levels can be heard still. This is best served for rock and rap. Classical and jazz you want the highs all the way up and the mid levels about midway and the lows about half way between all the way and midway. this make it loud but puts the emphasis on the instrumentals.

In most cases the mid will give the full sound, from that position you can tweak it slightly up to bring out more bass, middle tones, and highs.

It keeps shutting of and the power light just flashes if there is too much bass? what do i do? the volume is low to begin with

Hello, the protect circuit is likely detecting a damaged speaker or speaker wire.Check the unit with one speaker at a time connected, or if you have an ohmmeter measure each speaker they should read approximately 8 ohms. When you connect a speaker thats bad the unit is designed to shut down and flash protect.

Not getting high depth of bass sony MHC-RV777d

I wouldn't expect huge bass from those little speakers. Somewhere on there, there's an equiliser, where you 'll probably be able to turn the bass up and down. See if that works. If not, new speakers may help.

How to incrise the bass of sony MHC-RV777d

Is it possible that the speakers are out of phase, where one speaker is moving out, the other is moving in, resulting in zero bass?

Other than checking wires, making sure + on amp is linked to + on speaker, try changing the eq settings, or sit them next to a wall - walls help bass a lot.
