I need the exercise chart for the weider platinum home gym

I bought this resistence training system and there was no book to demonstrate how to change the machine around for certain exercises or how to properly use the machine

I also cannot find anything showing the exercises. Seems like a waste of a lot of money since they do not seem to have an actual guide for the exercises once you have used the owners manual to put it together.

I've been to the Icon site and have even called them. They don't have the User Manual anymore, not even on a pdf

I got their owner's manual from this site, but not the user manual.

Can anyone scan and post one somewhere?

  • W. Keith Nunnelee May 02, 2013

I scanned in the six week men's workout from the exercise book that came with my used Weider CrossBow Platinum. It's a 20 page PDF (@120MB) Email me if you still need it. nunnelees@gmail.com

The best I can suggest is to download a Bowflex manual instead. Two of their machines are similar: The Bowflex Revolution and The Bowflex Ultimate.

The combination of both sets of exercises gives the best demo information around. Where one set doesn't match the Platinum machine, maybe the same exercise will match in the other set.

I've used the Bowflex Ultimate Exercise Guide, and though it doesn't show how to program the Platinum computer board, it does give really good routines and full explainations with photos of each exercise and your personal exercise sheets to record your progress.

I have created my own guide by copying and pasting each routine with it's specific exercises, (each exercise on a page of it's own so I can alter things around when I want to change things up.)

It's a great guide, and seeing as Weider doesn't care to provide this for us, maybe we should all buy a Bowflex next time (trust me, the Platinum is wrought with mechanical problems, you'll need a new machine in the not too near future.)

(p.s. I swear by Allah I do not own a bowflex or work for Bowflex, I just wish I had bought one instead).

  • cheryfa Aug 01, 2009

    doniac,

The user manual isn't the problem, I'm sure all of us have that or have already been to Icon's website and downloaded it by now.

There is no exercise guide in it. No instruction whatsoever how to use it, only how to assemble it. I have no idea how to use the accessories, what exercises to do if I choose UPPER BODY PROGRAM etc.

Like I said, the best thing I found is looking at other manuals and figuring it out on my own.

Maybe someone out there can make a youtube video and demonstrate their machine for us.

Anyone still need the chart? I recently bought the weider platinum xp from craigslist and it did come with the chart. Rather large, "platinum personal training console, over 75 club-quality exercises" it shows every single workout for different muscles in the body. Pictures and instructions on what equipment to use and where to connect them to. Lmk asap, will come back and check on this post every now and again

Hello Kirk,
I'm really really in need of the Poster on the eider Platinum Home Gym. A year ago, I bought the gym from a lady and spent quite a bit of money and she had accidently damaged and threw out the poster before my purchase. I've found the poster to be a really important component to working with the digital controls. I bought the video and the workouts did not work out in the same order as the digital control, so I have no idea where the mechanisms go according to the order on the digital control. I called Weider and they no longer make or sell the poster, so I would really really appreciate if you could email me a copy of the wall chart or poster. I've tried for over a year to get this and no one is willing to help me out. You're my last hope, please.
Thanks,

Need to replace resistance band do you have in stock?

No, this is a answer site. Look up the maker in you user manual to see if you can order parts.
It appears to be made by a company called leg magic and I don't think they are interested in providing parts or service.

I just bought a used machine and the weight adjustment is inaccurate. I have to put it up to over 200 lbs resistance in order to get maybe 40 lbs despite what the machine reads. Is there something I can...

If you find the manual (quick online search) on page 23 there is a section under "RECALIBRATE THE MACHINE" .

Basically: Plug it in. Hold down the "Next" and "Resistance +" buttons together for 5+ seconds and release; some text will appear on the main display. Press "Next" again followed by pressing the "Resistance +" button again. The system should 'calibrate', you'll hear it moving thru the resistance lowest to highest (or vice versa). After it finishes it beeps or displays or both, unplug the system. When you plug it back up hopefully it fixes the problem.

Hi, i am looking for a weider platinum exercise tape and or manual i have owners manual

The best source I can recommend is that you contact Weider Fitness and see if they such material. Since it was design to compete with the Blow Flex and they have basic exercise movements that both utilize. I have seen some Video off of YouTube even though they are 3 to 5 minutes in length it will give you a starting point.

We have a Nordictrack Futura 2200 and when we set the weight resistance it jumps back to 10lbs. no matter what we set it for it jumps back to 10lbs

When the resistance setting changes, the motor will be heard. To prevent damage to the motor, do not pull any of the cables while the resistance setting is changing. If the motor has difficulty adjusting the resistance level and no cable is being pulled, there may be too much tension on the Upper Cable (110). Adjust the tension as described below. To decrease the tension on the Upper Cable (110), turn the two 3/8” x 38mm Tension Screws (106) twice, counterclockwise. Select the desired resistance setting. Repeat this step if necessary.
