Question about SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) MP3 Player (SDMX7-2048)

I can't get my sandisk c250 MP3 player out of record mode

I must have pressed the record button by mistake. No matter which buttons I push, I can't seem to get out of record mode. I also can't find my owner's manual to figure out what to do.

I have an e280 so I can't guarantee this, but by holding down the on/off button for a while- should take 15-20 seconds, but give it a minute if nothing happens- you should completely reset it thereby resuming normal operation. If not (with it unplugged) you can disassemble it and pull the battery out for less than three seconds, reassemble, and restart.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can't turn off recording option to play my music

Try pressing and holding down the 'menu' button. It might shut off, but that's okay. Just turn your player on again.

Otherwise, take the back off of the player and slip the battery out. That will definitely shut it off. It's called a 'hard reset'.

Hope you get it working again!

Reset it first by holding in the power button for 10-15 seconds. If that fails:
Connect the device to the PC in MSC Mode
View/c200: Turn on then press and hold the rewind button while plugging to the PC

MODES in Sansa c250

Once you turn on the player it should take you to the last place you were, usually playing a certain media file. I have heard about this model, however I havent used it, but in its bigger brother breifly pressing the power button takes you to the modes menu, give it a go on ur player.

Record on

Try press the "Menu" button. If that does not work it is broken/frozen. Maybe just let the battery run out and turn it back on.
