Question about E-Machines etower 533id PC Desktop
Ran the restore cd to restore the sound. After rebooting, error message"CWCPROPS.CPL" appeared. Emachines says the driver is Crystal CS4280 3D PCI Audio. Other driver sites tell me this is the wrong one. I also don't know how to open a zip file.
I would try the driver files that Emachine says is right for your computer first before any others. On windows 98, you will need to download a unzipper program such as winzip or RAR to unzip your files. Windows 98 did not ship with a unzip program attatched. once you install the unzip program, double click your zipped file. this will bring up your unzipping program. Choose "unzip all" and make sure you know where the files are unzipped to. Go to that location & look for a "setup.exe or install.bat " file. if there's not one of those, go to your device manager, pick your sound card & click "update driver" then browse to the location that you unzipped the files to, and click "OK"

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
