Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

My sansa does not work now

When i connect my sandisk to pc it works and the charge continues but when i disconnect it from the pc it just turns off

    Try updating the firmware with sansa updater. this requires internet access.

Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged. If it is not engaged:
These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

I shut down the computer while charging my mp3


Try plugging in the USB connection again. If that doesn't work, unplug it and then press and hold the on button for ten seconds.

My sansa view will not finish turning on. It stops after sandisk sansa apprears on the screen. How do I fix this?


SOLUTION 1 - Make sure player is fully charged.
1. Connect the player to the PC.
2. Make sure the computer detects the player.

NOTE: If needed, switch the player to MSC mode, then connect it to the PC.

3. Leave the player connected for approximately 2 hours to charge.
4. Disconnect the player from the PC.
5. Verify if you can turn on the player.
6. Reset the player if necessary.

Trying to charge a sansa sandisk ain't working.


Have you tried all the normal stuff? Hook up the player on the rear of the computer these ports on the rear are more suited for power requirements of charging devices. Next do you have the right USB cable for the player, many may fit but they are not all alike. Have you tried to reseat the battery?
  • Then try all this.
Reset the device.
  • 1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds.
  • 2. Release the Power/Menu button.
  • 3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.
Then you can do what is called a power cycle.

  • Remove the battery.
  • 1. Connect the device to the PC.
  • 2. Leave the device connected for about 2 minutes.
Turn on the device
  • 1. Disconnect the player from the PC. and Quickly
  • 2. Insert a fresh AAA battery into the player.
  • 3. Turn on the player.

I was listening to my sandisk sansa mp3 player and it stopped working what to do wont turn on nothing


Try and reset. 
1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power switch.
3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.
 
Part 2 - Make sure the player is fully charged. 
1. Connect the player to the PC. 
2. Make sure the computer detects the player. 
NOTE: This part is important:, switch the player to MSC mode, then connect it to the PC.  3. Leave the player connected for approximately 2 hours to charge. 
4. Disconnect the player from the PC.  5. Verify if you can turn on the player.  6. Reset the player if necessary one more time.

Try these:

Sansa E260 Charging Problem


The battery may have become disconnected from the contacts, therefore it will not charge the battery but lights up when connected to the PC. Remove the 4 screws on the back, remove and re-seat the battery. Charge the device for a few hours. Best of Luck. p.s.- you can add to this question if this didnt help.
