Can i hook up speakers to an lg e2340v moniter to watch netflix? i have it hooked up through hdmi. I have no sound though.

The monitor does not have sound passthru feature so the speakers would not be able to work that way. You can connect the speakers to the Roku box in the audio out jacks. You will need to get a cable from radio shack to make the connection.

Acer V173 with flashing amber led. No picture. cable good. other monitors work at this connection.

I have this same problem. Blinking amber Light and no display. on close examination I am seeing the video image attempt to come up, but with no back lighting. I think there is a power supply problem. I will post again if I learn more.

"No signal" on Acer V173 monitor. All connections

You may have problem in the logic board, it uses surface monted components no much chance for DIY repair.
Service manual; http://elektrotanya.com/?q=showresult&megnev=Acer&megnev2=AL2216W&kategoria=monitor&kat2=all

The cases these days are hard to open, they use plastic finger hooks types, they go in easy but real hard to remove without damageing them.
Use thin flat blade to crack open at the bottom edge so the scratches will not be so noticeable, and work your way around, look out for cables attached to the front bezel also.

Acer moniter has streaking and ghosting of images

Sorry, it's a graphics fault. Looks like its time to get a new monitor. Few repair shops will do toch LCD monitors. There IS a possibility that your PC has a graphics problem. You could check it out by connecting your PC to another monitor,or by connecting your monitor to another PC, or a notebook/laptop.

No sound..

first make sure that your monitor has all of the drivers and speakers built into it.and that you have a a good audio cable.know that you have to have it in the audio port with the green around it(the middle one)you can't take regular speaker and plug them into the monitor.but you can plug them into the green port in the middle.also make sure that your other speaker are good.if you got any more questions email me at gamecrazy944@yahoo.com

I have a new acer v173 moniter cant get sound

I just looked at the specs for it and there are no audio inputs. But fear not! There is still a way. Look on the back of your PC for 3 color coded input jacks. For your speakers jack, look for a green or lime colored input and plug your speaker cord into it and you'll be good to go. You may even be able to use the same color coding from the front of your PC. It will also be your headphone jack if getting to the back of the PC is a pain in the you- know- what! Let me know if you need additional help! Thanks for rating this solution (if you do).

Hook up the vga cable to the vga port on the back of your computer. Usually it is blue. Hope this helps.

Speaker trouble

There has to be separate cord for the speakers. Look for an Audio port on the back of the monitor. It looks like a small hole and should be marked "Audio". Connect this to the Audio out on the PC using a cable with two Audio jacks at both ends.
