It has found my location but any location I type in i get the response "no matches found" State, city, or address. All the same. I just got it and it was little charged so i plugged into my computer to charge. I downloaded updates successfully. But when I turned it on i was inside the house. Thank you for asking, I had originally tried doing the start up from inside the house. Thought it would work because we have a tall house with lots of windows. That was the problem. I reset and started out in the open yard and it worked just fine. Thank you for your support and i will save this link for any future problems.

Changed cartridges, printer doesn't align or function

Something seems to be physically wrong in the mechanism.

Try the rolling wheels and the belt on which the cartridges run.

The date that my Nuvi operates on is incorrect

Nuvi 200 - trying to reset the date using the method suggested by Kevin A (and in a cellar) and after two hours the Nuvi was still "locating satellites". Am I doing something wrong?!

My main problem, however, is that having loaded a copy of the latest European maps onto the card used in the device, when going through the "where to" routine I am asked to enter State/Province. Living in the UK this is a little difficult as there is no answer I can give that the unit will recognise! Any ideas?

My Brother MFC-5440CN states machine error 7E. Help!!

error 7e means "no head parameters stored in the eeprom".

1) locate the head data sticker at the front left of the machine. it should have a 12 digits number at the top row and headx..... at the second row. the data is the 12 digits number. if the sticker is missing somehow, there's another one at the head/carriage unit.

2) enter maintenance mode.

3) enter 6 and 8 for property data entry

4) enter 2 5 8 0 within 2 seconds and you're at the data entry state.

5) key in the 12 digits number. use # and 1 to 6 to enter letter a to f.

6) hit the ok button. machine should beeps and display "input accepted". if it say "input error" there's a checksum error, meaning you keyed the number in wrong. it will return you to the data entry state.so just key the number in again (step 5).

7) exit maintenance mode. done.

Getting started

Take the unit outside, so it knows where it is (you cannot tell it you want it to go from a location to another without being at one of the locations). Once the unit has a satellite fix, press Where To? Then press Address. When West Virginia and Spell State come up, press Spell State. Enter Florida (or start to, until the unit pulls it up, then press it). Then press Spell City, and enter Crystal River, then the house number and street name or number. Press Go! and you are on your way.
