cheapest way is a new fuel tank from e-bay that has it all installed
you can remove the rubber grommet around the lines to get it out then get a new filter to push on the line BUT will it be cost effective against what can be obtained from e-bay
The fuel filter is under the car near the fuel tank (see diagram below). It's a canister with a fuel line threaded into both ends of it. You will need a 20 mm wrench to hold the filter and a 16mm line wrench to loosen the line fittings. You may also be having an ignition problem. All ignition components are under the aluminum top engine cover.
your engine is starving for fuel supply. Remove fuel line from carburator. If fuel flows from line remove carburator and clear obstruction from needle valve and insure that fuel is not being restricted. If fuel flow is slow: clean and rebuild if necessary the fuel pump (if applicable) or follow fuel line to fuel tank and remove blockage: in line fuel filter fuel, tank strainer, or on and off valve that may be choked off.
Clean or replace fuel filter.
Filter is located in the gas tank, on the end of a small rubber fuel line.
Use a large wire, with a hook(1/8 in. radius inside)on the end, to pull the filter far enough out of the
tank to remove the filter assembly.
May be difficult to re-install filter assembly because fuel line is short (it will stretch 10 to 20 % of it's
length).
order new fuel line and filter from www.randysenginerepair.biz remove top cover, remove air filter, remove fuel line from carburetor, empty gas tank, pull remains of fuel line out of tank and replace with new.
Yes there is a filter in tank but cant be removed, dump gas out of tank and leave gas cap off place a rag over tank to catch any gas that you couldnt remove doesnt blow all over then take your air hose and blow through the gas line this will clean the filter after you do this place a can under gas line to catch gas and put a little gas in the tank to see if your problem is solved .
First remove the cover, air filter and the carburator. Then remove the gas tank cap and the fuel filter from inside of gas tank,at the end of fuel line.Take off the fuel line from the hole of the gas tank(at the top),replace the fuel line, put all back together and start the engine.
Thanks for the info
