Acer travelmate 4650, after bios flashing, no display.thanks.

HI there
Sounds like the bios flash has failed, the only thing you can do now is try to flash again, make sure you have the right bios update for that model machine, suggest you get a USB floppy drive so you are able to re-flash the bios, if it still doesn't work then the machine is rendered useless.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!

ACER 4100 TRAVELMATE

If this happened suddenly, the backlight power supply (inverter)  has probably failed. It could be the backlight itself but they normally will dim or flicker before they die.
Try shining a light at an angle on the display with the computer turned on and look at it from an angle too. You may be able to see video very faintly; if you do, then it is as described above; a backlight problem, not the LCD display itself.

Acer Travelmate 201T most times no display

If the backlight is coming on its not the inverter, check the ribbon cable for the screen itself, If its been opened and closed alot maybe be time to replace the screen. Check connections first, go from there.

I think that the problem is related to RAM. Try to open the RAM from its slot, clean it and reinsert it. Then see if the problem goes. You will find the procedure to open the RAM from your manual. If you don't have it then let me know

ACER travelmate 529 dim display

you need an inverter board. we can supply you with it if you'd like. let me know if you need more help.

90% of it's the inverter board, the other 10 could be a bad fl tube in the lcd itself.
