Question about Pantech Matrix Cell Phone

Slider off track

My pantech matrix will not slide up properly. It seems to be off track
any idea how to fix this?

    Mine seems to be off track or something. Its just too flimsy and Ive only had it for about a month does any1 have any idea about how to fix it

    We have the same problem. The slider seems to be off track. the phone is only 4 months old. The AT&T store where we purchased the phone, said it was physical damage and we broke it. We didn't. They said we could take a chance and send the phone back to AT&T. But AT&T they would charge us $300 to replace it because it seems to be physical damage, which it isn't. We did buy the $100 warranty and would have to pay $80 on top of that to replace it from the store. Do you have any suggestions?

    The same thing has happened to me, also. The slider just popped- off the other night, for no reason at all. I just recently took into the AT&T store where I purchased it, and was rudely accused by the employee helping me, and the store manager himself, of breaking it myself. Following an argument with them that I am not trying to get a free phone, just trying to get mine fixed, they told me that they could do nothing. I will have to send it back to AT&T, and AT&T will decide if it's a fault with the phone or if it's something I did. What a joke.

    I have the same problem. The screws that hold the slider to the phone have come unscrewed and neither AT&T or the company have been any help. They just want me to buy a new one! This one is only 6 months old. Also, I have found NO HELP on this website so far as to how to handle an ACTUAL problem. Everyone says "contact the manufacturer". Uhm...not helping! Need so actual technical advice.

There was a batch of these phones recalled for this very problem. My daughter got the phone and after three days the top came off the slide - after arguing with the AT&T store and getting no where. I called AT&T and spent an hour on the phone trying to convince them that my daughter hadn't broken it. Finally they helped me get it replaced through the store (within 30 days of purchase) A few weeks later we got a recall letter and had to replace the second phone also. What a pain! All of this happened in Oct/Nov of 2008 so if any of you bought your phones during that time it could be part of the recall. Good Luck.

I wouldn't suggest trying to fix it yourself....check with your carrier to see what kind of warranty you have on the phone and get it switched through your warranty. Good luck.

Pantech MATRIX C740 slide hinge has come loose. How do you take the phone apart to fix? (Pantech Matrix and Duo are not the same phone)

i suggest not taking the phone apart. 5 of my friends and myself have the matrix and after flipping it a couple of times the hinges are always going to feel loose. they have felt that way on mine for over a year. and if you take it apart, the senor bars for the keyboard will go out and you will have to get a new phone or just use the number pad

When I have wanted to replace a cover on any mobile, I go online google search put in the model of the phone/fascias or covers, the companies that sell these, also sell the pack of screwdrivers you need to use for these tiny screws. Its a one time buy, I would get a cover for a phone then you get the tool free? £5 possible £6 or get a pouch for your mobile. Good luck you will get it sorted.

Pantech Matrix water damage T-T

honestly within the past two days I have gotten my matrix soaked...once in the shower and then my boyfriend threw it in the toilet when we were playing around. the first time I used aerosoft keyboard cleaner and sat in on the vents on top of my tv. The second time I wasn't at home so I filled a bag up with rice and silica bags and then turned it on the next day and it's working fine...I just get this random beep every now and then. And I can see moisture in the corner of the screen. My phone has been through hell. Just do what you think is best and go for it. Not in the freezer though...BIG NO NO

Sliding drawer in the top refrigerator section

hi i have the 700tc as well,,ok the best way to place the drawer,,,extend the 2 sliders all the way out,,there is one pin at the end of each slider and 1 hole on each side of the drawer lip which lays on the track ,,,the holes on the drawer must fall into the pins otherwise it will not close,,,so place the drawer on top of the slider ,,,what usually happens is the sliders tend to roll back into the housing of the fridge,,,so while the drawer is resting on the sliders reach under the lip of the drawer and pull each slider until the the holes of the drawer falls into the pins,,,when the drawer is seated in the pins it will close smooth,,,hope this helps
