That OE is really DE (drain error). Open the access door at the lower left on the front of the washer. Drain remaining water using the small hose. (at least if it is not plugged) Unscrew and remove the large knob. Clean out filter. If filter was clean, you may need a new pump motor, or something may have made it past the filter and is jamming the pump impeller. You can remove the pump without taking the front off the machine.

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On most LG models of washing machine, error code "OE" indicates blockage in the impeller/pump area. This then calls initially for a visual inspection and cleaning debris out. Cleaning is relatively easy but a bit messy. It would require access to the bottom parts either through the kick panel or the rear panel. Other than the above mentioned drain parts, you might as well considering checking/cleaning the drain valve, sump/bowl, filter and drain hose (kinks). Should cleaning be not corrective, then you would need a DVM/VOM to check for the presence/absence of supply voltage to the pump motor.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

OE : Drain Hose is Kinked or clogged or The Drain Filter is clogged - Clean and straighten the drain hose / clean the drain filter.

BUT!!

My LG1372 FHB has the same fault and it isn't blocked - am looking at the pump next!!

- checked the hoses (drain hose) and the pump filter but it didn't cure the problem.

So i turned the damned thing upside down and stripped the pump out of it - sure enough there was a piece of cotton cord wrapped around the impellor - remove it and everything is OK!

More explanation :)

Memory serves me correct, the 0E code is a blocked pump which is consistent with what you are saying. I have included a link from Stokes Aus.com that will give you the exploded view and parts list of this model. Just go down the list to yours. The pump is located at the front so you should be able to remove the bottom front cover to access it. The little access panel might give you access as well. I can't remember. I don't work on any off shore machines any more so my memory is thin. Hope this helps

Thanks.

My lg 7KG 1405F model in does not complete the washing cycle stops at rising (oe) is the code

OE is drain error, which means that the machine has detected that the water level is not lowering quickly enough...Probable cause is a blocked pump filter...Check via small door at floor level..Unscrew pump cover and clear filter....Remember that all water will drain from this point, so drain machine first...Leaning the machine back can help...Good luck....Nomess

I have an lg front loader washing machine...it keeps stopping mid cycle and gives a troubleshoot code of oe...i cant find my owners manual and the lg site is awful....can you help me?

OE is drain error..Most likely problem is partially blocked pump filter...This is accessed via the small door at floor level...Unscrew the pump cover and clear the filter..Any water in the machine will flow from the pump cover...Empty the machine first...Leaning it back can help....Good luck....Nomess

Front loader wm2277hs washer with OE error sign

The LG error code OE simply means “the pump is blocked”.

Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly.

As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation.
And from your original post, I see that you have checked the drain pipe and the pump filter..

Those are the only 2 things I would of asked you to check aswell.

As for the price, I cannot answer that as most manufacturers wont publish their prices unfortunatly.

Sorry I couldnt of offered more help.

LG Intellowasher cannot complete spin cycle.

Unplug power cable, remove top cover and inner panel, locate water level sensor on the right with 3 wires and a thin tube, remove the tube and puff into it until you hear water bubbling. This will clear any blockage caused by suds build up. Replace tube, covers and plug back in. It should complete cycles now.

You will find that the pressure sensor sampling tube is blocked with soap deposits. Needs to be cleaned out for the sensor to work properly.

Oe code

I had the same problem. First the grinding noise during the rinse cycle and then after four weeks the OE code. LG had a local repair service come out and he determined that the drain pump was dead and ordered a replacement. Still waiting on part after only 3 days.
