Vertical line across middle of screen, I can see that is has a picture and color through the line, and I know that it is in the vertical section. My problem is I can't find a wiring or compont diagram (schematic) for my Sylvania 32" TV Model SST4273. I have checked Sams Photofact web site, and other web sites but can't find that model. Need Help!!!

I have no schematic for my Sylvania 32" Tv Model #SST4273.(not Toshiba)

Has vertical line across middle of picture tube, black back ground, have sound, can see that it has a picture and color in the vertical line, but without schematic don't know where compontents( IC's, Cap-. Resistors, etc).

Need location of compontents to check what is bad or open. I know that it is in the vertical section, but without a wire diagram I do not know where or to check, or where they are located.

Hope that I am explaining it correct.

TV has a great picture but wont "hold it". Keeps going to a single flat horizontal line across the middle of the screen. Tapping on side of TV used to bring it back but now, nothing. Just a line.

Vertical scan output section circuit fault. Absence of vertical scan causes the single horizontal line on screen. Horizontal scan output section is OK. Contact any service technician to troubleshoot the vertical scan output section circuit. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. White line in middle of screen on a cx32h60 toshiba tv

The vertical sweep output is absent. Check its vertical output section circuit for the fault. Check all the solder terminals of that section, and resolder them by applying a little more solder. Take special care to the solder terminals of the vertical output IC. If these do not help you, check and replace the vertical output IC.

Good sound no picture just line thru middle of screen

If the line is going across the screen from side to side that means you have lost vertical deflection, and you don't want to run the set like that because you can burn that line into the picture tube. Most likely would be the vertical output ic, probably with a 400 location number, example IC401, could also be a capacitor in the vertical circuit most are close to that IC.

Vertical line across picture tube on my Symphoic model WF2703.

Is it just folded over with a thin line of light thru the middle of screen. It is a vertical collapse. Vertical Ic is loosing connection with the board or failing Already. resolder first then see if it can actually solve it. If not check capacitor or neighboring components within vertical circuit or replace the vertical IC and check if this solves the problem.

If your not inclened in electronics, have it service by a qualified one.

Line across middle of screen.

The line of color is due to a failure in the vertical circuit. The main suspects are the vertical Ic AN15525A and/or capacitor c308 220uf@35volts
If you have the capacity to do so, you should check the other electrolytic capacitors in the vertical circuit which are USUALLY located near the vertical IC in most cases
you can purchase the part at

TV: bright line across black screen for several hours.

vertical output ic needs to be resoldered. careful leaving that bright line displayed on the screen as this will cause a permanent phosphor burn into the tube. this can not be corrected once burned unless you replace the tube. mch

Panasonic TV-Sound but no picture.

Hi,
According to the symptoms, There is a problem in vertical out section.Just check it there must be a capacitor that has been burst or leak. And second one reason could be the malfunctioning of vertical IC.Which is also in the vertical section.

Thanks for using fixya.

Picture screen

Hello! You have vertical collapse. There are bad solder connections at the vertical output IC. I have repaired MANY panasonic tv's like this. Very easy to repair if you have any soldering experience. If soldering does not fix the problem you need to replace the vertical IC. Good luck

Is the line across-vertical failure or up and down-horizontal failure.Don't have make/model of set.

Tv not working

this symptom, sometimes called the tube light effect, it is characterised by a bright thin horizontal line across the middle of the screen. this symptom is caused by a breakdown in the vertical deflection circuit. hence maybe the trouble maybe in the vertical oscillator, amplifier or output circuits. but if all i have said is not clear to you, better bring it to a qualified tv technician. good luck!
