Question about Garmin nuvi 200W GPS Receiver
I haven't used my Garmin Nuvi 200 in about a month, and it was working fine last time I used it. When I turned it on today, everything happened like it was supposed to, but when I pressed "Agree" on the screen where it says not to use it and drive at the same time, nothing happened, then eventually the screen went to the search view like it does if you don't press agree, and I pressed "Search." Again nothing happened. It's not frozen because the signal bars change when I move it in the air, and so does the time. So I can only assume the touch screen has stopped working. Is there anyway to fix it without paying more than it was worth for it to be professionally fixed?
I believe simply pushing the reset button will fix your problem. The reset is located under the frame around the screen. To remove the frame, use your finger nail to carefully lift it off the screen. Then just push the reset button and you should be back in business.
please rate my answer as a fixya! Thanks.

SOURCE: Garmin Nuvi 255w freezes
mine would constantly cycle in the reboot. I had to clear the stored data by pressng and holding the lower right side of the screen and turning on the gps. once it boots up, it will ask if you want to clear the data memory (will not clear the actual maps). say yes, when it reboots, you will have to redo your personal settings as if it was new out of the box.

Get on the Garmin website.
Speak to a customer service rep.
Garmin is very helpful in these situations.
If you can connect the GPS to your computer they can upload the correct maps directly to the unit.
Depending on how and from where you acquired the GPS ther may be no charge for this.
