Question about Acer Aspire 5500 5570-2609 Laptop
When typing on keyboard, if you hit certain keys it jumps to another word or area in your sentence and continues typing in random spots. what can i do to fix??? please help
You need to go to the mouse settings. This is usually in Control Panel.
If using Vista, you can click the start button and in the search field, just type "mouse". That will find exactly what you're looking for.
Once you go into the Mouse Properties, click on the Tapping tab. There should be an option (checkbox) that says "Tap off when typing".
Check that box and you should be ok.

I remember a lot of people having this problem when the touchpad is very sensitive and your hand/arm/cloth brushes or well hoovers over it while you type. You can try to set the sensitivity of the touchpad a bit lower. Other than that may also be a virus, install a good antivirus like AVG and do a full clean, and from time to time clean the registry, but in most cases it is the too sensitivity of the touchpad.
