This is a 32 inch monitor that I use strictly for internet use. I have Charter cable high speed. It's a HD unit, but I don't have TV hooked up. It' s just that I moved my desk/computer and now I have a limited screen. It's driving me NUTS.

Hi, where are you getting the input? If it is from a satellite, Cable? check the resolution on the satellite menu or cable box to make sure it is above 480. Have you checked the format button?

Hi, Thanks for the info, long distance troubleshooting so hang in there! Control panel is not the right place to look. What graphics do you have? Rt click on the screen and go to properties or if you have vista your options would include a graphics control or tv control section make sure native is not selected and check the resolution and aspect, the resolution has to be above 480 and the aspect has to be 16:9 not 4:3. I still think that you need to access the tv menu and go through the settings. I do not have a manual for this tv and one is not available online, so getting as much info from you is essential. If the back and forth is too much for you, this tv is made by Funai Corp and their customer service number is 800-242-7158. Good Luck!

WHEN I TURN ON MY PHILIP 32 INCH LCD THE SCREEN APPEAR IN 2 SECOND THAN BECOME BLACK BUT SOUND AND ALL CONTROL BUTTON WORK ONLY CANT SEE THE PICTURE AITHER POWER BOARD OR PANEL SPOIL?

Hello,

Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.

The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.

Often there are fuses on that board - one or more. Check those.

if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.

I hope this will help in solving the problem.....

I connected my media center PC to my new Sanyo DP50740 50" Plasma Television using the PC input on the back of the television. The instructions say that it supports 1360X768 with a 16:9 aspect ration...

No,13060 resolutions will not support by some tv correctly, will shift whole picture about to 6 inches to the right. That why, must use the PC Control panel to adjust to 1024 for the video to center. For the wide aspect 16:9 ratio, just find another aspect ratio to for expandsion to fit the entire screen.

My dvd player doesn't fill the screen on my Sharp

There are settings on most DVD players as well as TV's that allow you to adjust the type of display you want. Make sure both the DVD and TV are set to the same display type (usually either 16:9 for your type of TV). If that still does not fill the screen you will have to use the Zoom function on either your DVD or TV. This will cut off part of your movie, but should allow you to fill the screen. Most DVD movies will also allow you to choose widescreen or normal viewing from their menu. Again, you will lose a small part of either side of the movie, but at least you will fill your screen.

4.14.1 Understanding Viewing Features
Your LCD HDTV features four viewing modes and Picture-In-Picture (PIP)/Picture-by-Picture (POP) mode.
You can switch viewing modes using the remote control.
4.14.2 Viewing Modes
Normal Mode
The original 4:3 aspect ratio (1.33:1 source) is preserved, so black bars are
added to the left and right of the display image. Standard TV broadcasts are
displayed with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio. Movies in 4:3 Aspect Ratio may be referred
to as pan-and-scan or full frame. These movies were originally filmed in 16:9
(widescreen), and then modified to fit a traditional TV screen (4:3).
Wide Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full-frame movie in this mode,
the display image is stretched proportionately to fill the TV screen.
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1 source) program or movie, the
display image fills the TV screen. If you are watching a widescreen
(1.85:1 or 2.35:1 source) program or movie, there will still be black
bars at the top and bottom.
Zoom Mode
When watching a widescreen (1.78:1, 1.85:1, or 2.35:1 source)
program or movie, the display image is zoomed proportionally to fill the
width of the screen. The top and bottom are cut off to remove most of
the source material’s black bars. This mode is good for programs or
movies with sub-titles.
Panoramic Mode
When watching a standard broadcast or full frame movie in this mode,
the 4:3 Aspect Ratio (1.33:1 source) display image is stretched
horizontally on the left and right sides to fill the TV screen. The center
of the image is not stretched.

Note: Viewing modes are saved based on input. For example, you lasted watched a DVD in widescreen
mode and then watched TV in standard mode. When you switch back to DVD input, the viewing mode
will return to widescreen.

Sharp Aquos LC-32D43U

To adjust screen size, choose the View Mode feature on the top right of the remote control. Zoom size is full screen for watching DVD movies, but sometimes there is still a thin black band due to the formatting of the dvd (unless you buy full screen versions) S. Stretch view mode is best for TV Movies.(usually fills whole screen) Occasionally there are TV movies which just don't respond to being stretched to fill the screen, it's just the way the signal is coming through . 1080i/p detects the resolution of the signal and displays the same number of pixels on the screen, but a 720p signal input will be viewed in full screen.
