I starts and tehn stops and beeps three times. I can start it aain and it will run but then it does the same thing'

TYhe iRobot Roomba has different model designations. Here is a webpage with a list of what the beeps mean in the 400 series. I am thinking that is what you have. 3 beeps means the dirt cup is dirty, filters are dirty, or debris in collecting and it needs to be cleaned.

Here is the webpage:

Hope this helps. If it does, I would appreciate a vote. Thanks,

Took Roomba apart to clean and now the pick up brushes start and stop during cleaning. The vaccum is clean but will not constantly spin. Runs great but pick up brushes start and stop. Is there a number...

You can go to . This is the roomba website. You should be able to find replacement parts, customer support, videos or the Roomba product, and more.
When you cleaned your Roomba, did you also clean the wheel wells and outer most edges of the brush brush cartridges? There can be lint, threads, and at my house, cat hair, wrapped around the outermost edges of the brush cartridges.
I hope my suggestions help. If so, please contact Fixya and rate my solution.
Thanks and Good Luck!

Brushes not spinning

Side brush? Main brush? both? How did you find that they are not spinning? To properly test, place the front wheel on the table edge and hold the wheels up in the machine (dont hold the tires) , Then start the clean mode.
If it doesnt spin then you need to open the roomba and remove the motor to see if it is just binded up with lint. If the motor spins with your fingers then test the motor with a power supply to see if it is possibly burnt out. If it works on a power supply then your issue is on the main board and it needs replacing.

I have cleaned & cleaned this thing! It runs for about 2 mins & stops, says "Clean Brushes"! and now it's very noticeable it's not picking up well... but is picking up a bit. I take the dust bin...

Ok, this is a "Brush Height Adjustment" issue. It will probably work great on a hard surface but on carpet the brushes bog. If you've taken the unit apart it again. When you do, you'll see a String which allows the brushes to "Float" on different surface heights. Loosen the screw a little and pull a bit more string through. Re Tighten the screw and put it together enough for a test run. Now reset the roomba. To reset the Roomba, power the Roomba on, and press the Spot, and Dock buttons together for at least 8 seconds. Until it plays a tune. The clock, and any schedule is erased at this time. Try running the Roomba with the dust bin removed to see the brushes spin easier.

Second method, is taking off the bottom cover, and removing the battery. While it's removed, and not plugged into the charger, press the clean button for at least 20 seconds. This will erase the memory. Replace battery, and cover. Run the Roomba to see if the brushes start to spin. You can also remove the brush housing by removing the 4 screws and reseating it, to see if it was a bad connection, since you have the bottom cover off.

Irobot roomba brush only spins on hardwood/tile. brush stops when it hits carpet. motor prob's? fix?

Remove and clean the yellow bearing on each brush, then reinstall them. Run the Roomba and ensure that the brushes do turn on hardwood, then test it again on carpet. If the brushes still stop turning on the rug, call customer support at 1-877-855-8593. They'll be able to determine your warranty status and discuss your options.

Bin isn't filling, won't pickup and brushes won't spin for the second time. Last time iRobot had to replace both wheel modules. Any suggestions? I clean it every time I use it!

Wheel modules? It's more likely to be the cleaning head module. Clean your brushes exactly as the manual describes-- particularly the yellow bearings. Run the Roomba on a hard floor without the dustbin. Does the brush turn? If not, call support again and they'll help you out.

Side brush spins but bottom brushes do not.

Try the troubleshooting found <a href="*&p_li=&p_topview=1&prod_lvl1=788&prod_lvl2=&prod_lvl3=&prod_lvl4=&prod_lvl5=&prod_lvl6=">here.</a> If that doesn't work, call customer support for a new cleaning head module. 1-877-855-8593
