Hey guys! Any help would be so helpful, we have a LG WD 8050 FH washing machine that is a front loader. A couple of days ago we accidentally caught the cord in the door, then it leaked every where. Secondly we fixed it up, the seal matches perfectly and we have watched the water fill up almost to the top and there was no leakage, hooray for us! But then we left it to cycle and an hour later after it went METAL water had flooded our entire house. The machine has been rocking crazy for the last couple of weeks as it is, so much that our cupboard on fell off the machine. So it clearly has problems, but so much problem that the waters flooding our house? Help, anyone?? Please?
Was the machine level when it was rocking? If so there's possibly an issue with the suspension tip machine back and look underneath and make sure the 2 rods connected to either side of the plastic drum housing are connected to the base of machine(they are on an angle running to the machine frame) if there ok and don't look damaged tip it back upright. Then Take off the top panel there's screws at the back and slide it back to get off. There should be 2 big springs connected from top to the drum check they are ok, also check the big weights on the front & back of drun housing aren't broken or loose. Its most likely the water level pressure settings have faulted from the bad shaking, there's hose ( usually cream colored thin rubber) hose connected to a round switch with wires come out of its connected to machine frame. Make sure there's no water in machine then take off hose and pou back on again and check its also attached to machine drum housing(hose runs down inside machine) once this is reset it will probably fix problem. Turn on machine and fill the wates should stop well before half way up the glass window if not there's still problems and it will overflow when clothes are put in

La Trisha, There could be many reasons for the leak, however usually all leaks are visable. Your model is a direct drive pump and motor and I have seen a lot of these pumps go bad and leak. You will have to remove the front panel. There should be 2 clips, one on each side of the washer top. Push a putty knife in these clips and the front panel should pop out from the top. Now you will be looking right at the pump on the bottom. It is held on with 2 clips and 2 clamps, a real easy fix. When you remove the front panel, let the washer fill a little again and see if the water is pouring from the pump. You will also be able to get a look at all the other hose attachments. The part number for the pump is 3363394. Good luck..

if you washed coins, it is quite possible you have breached outer tub with them.

Ok, it sounds either your hose from the water level pressure switch has come off or broke, or the pressure switch itself is bad.
Check the pressure switch hose first.
My tubing came loose and I just duct taped it back on and it works perfectly.
You would need to open your console as shown here:

Pull forward and up on the console and you can hinge it open and hanging from the hinges.
Here is your water level pressure switch:

take the lid off
check your inlet valves are they ok
take the back panel off and check all your hoses
find out what is leaking and then i can help you to take apart further
make sure that you unplug it first though.
