I'm have trouble signing into GTA IV. I get messages like: Attemping to Autosave You are not signed in. In order to save progress, you need to be signed in. Do you want to sign in now.. Small box on this screen has: Enter Yes Esc NO.. The problem here is I've lost the mouse pointer.. The only this that is enabled is ENTER... ESC YES OR NO is disabled. Don't know what to press. AND A message window says.. "Your Windows Live ID is locked. To check your Windows Live ID go to http://account. Live.com.. I click OK.. All I get when I visit this website is confusion.. The graphics are pathetic.. One of the Cousins shows up in a Taxi without wheels , 3 men are climbing a ladder to a dock..You see NO ladder or no dock..The bridge is broken up. AND Driving the car is too loose.. I turn a little to the left and I'm going into oncoming traffic. There's nothing like the vehicles in GTA III Vice City.. It was great to handle the cars.. Try this.

From looking around various forums it appears to be a problem starting the game. The advice given is;
1. try again (if it's only happened once or twice, it might self-correct itself.)
2. ensure your PS3s firmware is up to date (settings > system update - on the main menu).
3. delete the game data (go to Game > game data utility and find the problem game (if it is just one) - press triangle and select delete) - NOTE this is the games' install data and not the save game so you wont lose your progress.

Alas, none of the threads seemed to end on anything definite, so if none help (and i'd try them in the order above) then it may well be a 'contact Sony' situation.

it has to do with your tv if you have a 50 pal tv u will need a 60 pal because the grafics are good

I think it's just down to second controllers of any type, so make sure they're unplugged.
Hence why on your main controller you can't seem to press red or green.

sorry to hear your game save is corrupt.

while i haven't heart of any save problems with gta 4.... no game is perfect.

If it continually happens with gta 4 and possibly with other games, it could be a sign of hard drive failure.

Hd failure is a common problem with other models.

Just a heads up.
