Problem with side USB ports on Insignia Desktop Computer

I have four usb ports on my desktop insignia computer, , two in back and two on the side. The back is working but the side usb ports are not. I did all the troubleshooting but cannot repair this problem. Any suggestions. I unhooked my printer usb from the back and tried it on the side. did not work. I had been using the side USBs for my camera and Palm pilot. Please advise

DO YOU HAVE A 99 CENT STORE WHERE YOUR AT, BUY A HUB THAT EXTENDS THE PORTS AND GIVES YOU 4 MORE USB PORTS,

THERE SOME PLACE TO CHECCK IN THE CONTROL PANAL, DEVICE MANAGER, NETWORKING AND SHARING, PROBLEMS AND REPORTS,SECURITY CENTER, SYNC CENTER, WINDOWS DEFENDER AND WINDOWS FIREWALL.

CHECK FOR UPDATES, SWAP THE CONNECTOR WITH THE FRONT OR REAR CONNECTION OF THE USB CONNECTORS AND SEE IF IT IS THE BOARD THE PROBLEM.

Where is the usb port

I don't have one of these, but from looking at the picture then I am guessing there is probably a couple on the back. They should be up the right hand side, with all the other ports. There will be some on the back somewhere.

Hope this helps.

My two side USB ports on Insignia d300a have stopped working. Nothing.

Un-install the driver for any USB ports in divice manager under the system tab in controll panel. Restart your system and windows will auto install the drivers.

Hope this works,

MY two side USB ports on my insignia D400a have stopped working. What can I do from home to fix them?

Check that the USB connections are connected properly to the motherboard, also, make sure under the settings of your USB devices in windows device manager that the USB devices in question have not been disabled by some sort of power management feature.

No USB

Ok again, don't listen to these people.

I'm sorry but sounds like your flash reader died. You'll have to open the case and unplug the reader, once you did that, connect your UBS cables directly to the motherboard (instead of the reader).

Finally, about the BIOS settings, while you have the case open, theres a small metal **** in one of the corners on the motherboard (it's a three metal pins with the connector connecting to two of them. Next to it is printed something like (bios and other stuff I can't remember). Slide the metal connector off, then on the other two metal pins, then restart your computer. Your BIOS settings should appear with the USB options enabled to be modified, Save changes, and exit, a message will come up, turn off your computer, put back the metal connector over the the previous two pins, and turn on your computer.

Back USB ports

I think maybe you are puting the usb connection in upside down or you are trying to put it in an iee1394(firewire) port or the LAN connector.
