No the laptop has an in-built wireless card so there's no need for an add-on. The switch is a slide switch which is at the very front of the laptop on the left hand side of the headphone and microphone jack. When you slide the switch a LED will come on.
could you tell me if the onboard built in wireless on this laptop is working or not?, as it is built in and the wireless card will be conflicting, hense very slow and the pc not seeing the card as the main wireless connection and not booting up until removal of the card
what do you mean wireless key ? is it wireless usb ? or wireless card ?
did you buy it from acer ?
if it is wireless usb adapter, just plug it in the usb port and install the driver for that usb.
if it is wireless card (acer). Open the back of your laptop, you can see the slot. just insert your wireless card in to the wireless slot and attached the both wireless antena (is should be black and white)
it surely is a keys combination. just find the little icon that represents wireless over the f1, f2, f3.... keys... arround those keys and by pressing and holding Fn key and at the same time that wireless key you will enable/disable the adapter...
