I have found that with my videos I cannot open them on either of my computers (one running Vista and the other XP)... or I can open them but I cannot get the viedo and the sound at the same time, I get one or the other.... try downloading the VLC player at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ this program allows you to open the file and you will get both the sound and the vidoe... Hope this helps!!

I forgot to also mention that Samsung videos are AVI format... there is a free download at http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/ that will allow you to convert the AVI video to what ever "output" format you would like ie: wma (so that it will work with windows media player... let me know if you have any other issues

My Sony Cybershot Dsc-w370 doesn't work with Windows Movie Maker

Use a card reader to upload the videos to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can try to get movie maker to open them.

Convert Videos made with Samsung SC-MX20 for use with Movie Maker

Videos made with the Samsung SC-MX20 are in Quicktime (MP4) format and are not natively compatible with any version of Windows Movie Maker.

To be able to edit your videos with Movie Maker, you must first convert them to a format Movie Maker understands. Follow the steps in this video:

This video describes how to fix the widescreen, but in the process it sets the format to mpg which is compatible with Movie Maker.

I have been trying to put the videos that i have on my camera on to my computer and i can only hear the voices but i cant see the actual video...then i tried it on the PS3 and it says that the data is not...

Hi!

If you can only hear the sound, but not see the video while playing it on a PC - it's a codec problem. The file format from a Samsung camera is not supported by your video player.

You have to use a different video player. Try using Videolan player - you can download it from www.videolan.org. It's a free software and it's safe.

If you want to play the videos in your PS3 - you have to convert the files to a file supported by PS3.

I hope that helps.

Good luck and have a nice day!

Problem playing movie Samsung L200

tarap722,

Hey, I just got the camera the other day and it is an awesome camera. The videos that the camera take are in mpeg-4 format and do not play in your regular media player, they will however play in some newer cell phones such as the Blackberry and can you guess.......most Samsung phones that have video capability. I believe the new RealPlayer will play the videos for you, just go to real.com and get the free one. ;) Play around with the camera, it's does so many things (very customizable), it's for people that don't to pay for a professional $1,900.00 camera, but it does just as good with the exception of being able to change the lens. Hope this helps.
