TRY REPAIR IT

fgm2iqnfpwwysfo.large.jpg f9xds7gfpwwysfr.large.jpg Continuing the tradition of quick, cheap, easy repairs of Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments, we present the repair of a drum trigger that doesn't respond (or responds only to really hard hits). fgm2iqnfpwwysfo.large.jpg As long as nothing is actually broken or disconnected, it's likely that the piezoelectric sensor is just not getting squeezed enough to trigger a hit.

Pull off the drum pad (four rubber pointy things hold each in place), but be careful not to pull out the wires. For more information about removing the pad, check either of the links above. It should look something like this when removed. f9xds7gfpwwysfr.large.jpg fgm2iqnfpwwysfo.large.jpg To make sure the piezoelectric sensor will register a hit, cut a piece of an eraser (or similar material) and put it between the spring and the rubber that rests against the piezoelectric material.

Replace the two screws that you removed earlier, test it, and reassemble.

I just bought a new tv, when I play guitar hero on the wii, it is responding very slow. When I press a button, if will work about 0.5 secs later so I just can't hit the notes at the right time...

Sometimes when playing Guitar Hero on a LCD TV or some other types, there will be a small delay between what's shown on the screen and what's heard. You can go into the game options and set up manual calibration. It's a little rough around the edges, but it'll get the job done. Hope this helps!

Hi Marbleface -

You can repair your drums actually for pretty reasonable!
Here is a link to a video on how to repair the drums yourself, you'll have to purchase the cable yourself, but you can find one if you search eBay for "guitar hero drum cable"

I hope this helps!

My gh3 wireless guitar won't respond to the + and - button

You can use a standard controller to input anything you need, but it does sound like the d-pad is broken. Get it replaced.
