Go into the Audio options menu and adjust your sound. Should be in the main menu.

Make sure Mute isn't checked.

hi I just fixed this problem on my computer. Here is how I did it. I have an NVIDIA video card and I right clicked on my desktop, went to NVIDIA control panel. Under 3D Settings, I clicked on "adjust image settings with preview". Under that setting my original setting was "let the 3D application decide". I selected the 3rd option "Use my preferences emphasizing: (Performance/Balanced/Quality)" Originally it was set to "Quality". I moved it to Performance and tried the game and IT WORKED!!!!!!! I am so happy! Also for me the "Balanced" option brings back the white screen.
Hope this works for every one who reads this.

not sure about your laptop though. Try reinstalling? might work

When I run the game I don't see all effects and character models.

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg

I have the 1000 best games from cosmi and it installs fine but when I try to download the individual games, it won't let me, 1 or 2 of the games will work but none of the rest, any thoughts

Sounds like an incompatibility issue. It's like fitting a 9V battery into a AAA slot, in a sense. You may need drivers for plugins that dont exist anymore, etc. etc.

Win 16 subsystem has become unstable?

Some incompatibility. Try right clicking on the installer EXE and changing options in the "compatibility mode" tab.

Try to run as Windows 95, Windows 98, disable visual themes, advanced text support, run it on 256 colors... try everything - it could work. But since it's something made for an OS developed more than 10 years ago, it will be hard to get it working.

If it still won't install, then your best hope is to install a Virtual Machine software (like VMWare) and install a copy of Windows 9X on it, so you can run the game virtualized.

Make sure all of your drivers are up to date...Video card and DirectX.
Also make sure to Defragment the computer every month and make sure your Hard Drive has over 15% free space remaining.
Also, if you have too much junk running in the "Back ground" it will eat up all of your resourses.
99% of everything you INSTALL, runs in the back ground no matter if you are using it or not.
You can see what is always running by hitting the CTRL/ALT/DELETE keys and go to the startup tab. Everything that is checked off in the list is running and that uses up you power and memory..
While there, look at the processor tab as well. it will show you how hard your computer is workin.
