Washer fills to level but does not go to wash cycle.

I would also have to turn the water level switch to the right to reset it. After draining the water out of it the unit will hum.

There is a coupler that connects the motor to the transmission and I think this is broken on your machine. The symptoms are it will fill and drain but not spin or agitates the clothing. Is this your symptoms? If your coupler is broken, part number is 285753 and this should resolve your problem. Let me know if I can help further....

I am sorry.....New to this forum and for some reason I do not see all the past responses. Check the lid switch. After filling, the lid must be closed for the unit to function. If the lid switch is broken or defective internally, your machine thinks the lid switch is open and will not operate. Check this and let me know what you find.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer LF error code during wash cycle - fills but stops mid-cycle without draining.

LF indicates a Long Fill; the washer didn't start the agitation part of the wash cycle. It either took too long to reach the needed water level or the water level pressure switch didn't send the signal to the control. Sometimes, the control board can't receive the signal. Since you are getting water into the washer, check how fast the water is coming in. The system is expecting to fill in about 8 minutes. Since the water level is determined by a difference between air and water using a hose to the pressure switch, check that the pressure switch hose isn't pinched or damages. Also make sure that there isn't a clog in the hose. You may need to replace the pressure switch assembly. Check the wires to the pressure switch and at the control board for damage or corrosion on the connections. If the wiring is good, the control board may need to be replaced if replacing the water level pressure switch doesn't solve the problem.

I hope this helps. If you need a parts list, please add a comment with the model number of the washer. (It's usually on the frame of the washer under the lid and on the back of the machine.) Since the washer is 15 years old, you may need to consider replacing it, if the control board is faulty.

Agitator starts at begining of cycle before washer is full

Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.

Washer drains then spins then fills again and drains but no spin

Try this, unplug washer for two minutes, plug back in, open and close lid seven times slowly, this will reset the computer and the electronic motor. Also on water level switch, make sure hose from switch to tub is not plugged, blow it out, gets clogged with soap.

Kenmore top load washer will not fill on rinse cycle

Hi, It does sound like the contacts in the water level switch are sticking. This switch is activated by presure not vaccum. You can try and bow into the hose leading to the level switch and see if it has any restriction but, it is more likely the level switch is going bad.
Do you have any problem on the initial starting of you wash cycle?
Let me know if this helps at all or I can answer any more questions.

Thanks

My washer fills until it overflows...when I turn the dail to the wash cycle, it just drains and spins...

Most likely the water level switch broke or water level hose came loose, if the washer keeps on filling on after you turned it off, then is the water valve. Which brand is it?
