Check your closed-caption settings and make sure it's turned off. You'll probably find it's now set to text mode. The set is blanking out the part of the screen where text would be displayed, but there isn't any.
Go into the menu and find "closed captions. Once there, turn off the "text" function. If you don't use closed captions, turn it all off. This will make your box go away. Let me know if I can be of further assistance
I never heard of this model either but there are some universal things to try. First, is there a reset button on the set? Usually it's a recessed hole that can be pushed with a paper clip or strong tooth pick. If this can be done, wait until any laights on the set stop flashing before continuing.
If yo uhave the maual there should be a reset instruction on a page outlining the use of the front control buttons. Good luck. Let me know how you do.
On your remote should be a button called TV caption or text. Turn off the closed caption as someone hit it and turned it on by accident. If its not on your remote, then it is in the menu. Good Luck
