The computer powers on... the fans are working, and it sounds like the HD makes one brief attempt at starting... the keyboard lights flash once, the monitor shows "no input"... and the keyboard and the mouse are useless...that's it. Anyone have a magic wand?
Sound like your hdd is failing. listen closely to your hdd. if you hear it clicking now and again, well it's on it's way to the bone yard. let it cool down for an hour or so with the pc off!.
it may just start up and boot. if so prepare to clone the hdd cause it's done
Once the monitor shows "no input", indeed the mouse and keyboard are pretty useless, even if the are working, as you cannot see they are working. If the monitor power light is on or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor needs replaced.
SOURCE: Won't boot up, Fans are on non-stop
Open up the pc with power off. After cleaning with a blowing or sucking device, gently press on the connections and plug-in devices. Retry.
If no avail, the power supply or the motherboard may have bit the dust. U can get them repaired or replaced.... or save the HD and buy a another pc and add the old HD as a data disk.

Try reseating the video card in your new computer. Sounds like it may not be seating in the slot properly. Take it out and put it back in with the power off and then hook everything back up and then see if you get video,.
