How do i replace the fuser on a HP p3005n printer?

Remove the paper tray. Turn the printer around so you are looking at the back. Open the back door and pull down, it will click and drop further than normal. Remove the two phillips screws you see. Lift up the paper tray flap at the back of printer and you will find a tab on the bottom left and right sides. Pull those slightly and pull out on the back panel. It will tilt out from the bottom first, the top of the back has a tab that locks into the top of the printer. Remove the white cover on the left side of the printer that has the cutout for the power cord. On the left side, unplug the black cable that runs from the fuser to the power supply. On the right side, disconnect the yellow wire from the fuser and release the clip that holds the yellow wire to the side of the printer. Disconnect the purple wire from the side of the printer. Remove the four screws that hold the fuser in place, three are self tapping screws that attach to plastic, one attaches to metal. Remove the paper guide that sides just behind the fuser by releasing the two plastic tabs on the back. Pull the fuser straight out. Install new fuser and reverse the above directions. Be sure to turn self tapping screws backwards until you feel the threads mate before screwing them in, this prevents stripped plastic holes. When reinstalling the back panel. put the top of the panel into the printer first and then the bottom.

I have several sheets of paper jammed in my printer and I can,t pull it out

Welcome to FixYa!

Don't try to pull out the jammed paper at the front panel of the printer. You might risk damaging your printer. Remove the jammed paper from the "Back Door" of the printer. The type of backdoor depends on what kind of HP printer you have. Below are 2 common backdoor of HP printers.
jas247_36.gif

1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
2. While the printer is still on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
3. Turn the printer so that the rear of it faces you.
4. Press in the tab on the left side of the rear door to release it. Then pull the door away from the printer to remove it.
5. Gently pull any jammed paper out of the rollers with your two hands.
6. Return back the back door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.
7. Plug the power cord into the printer.
8. Turn the printer on again using the power button.

Note: Make sure to remove the jammed paper cautiously, any small pieces of paper left inside the printer might cause additional paper jam.

Some HP printers uses a latch to open the backdoor. Refer to the image below:

Rjwylie@wowway.com..... I asked for assistance regarding fixing my pixma 600 printer. I mentioned that I checked the outlet and the power cord {with a meter}. They are O.K. Do you have any other...

It appears that your MP600 Power supply has died.
My MP600 Power supply died as well. Web searches (including Canon) turned up nothing. Called Canon. To order power supply from Canon, call: 866-481-2569 (credit card over the phone, no on-line interface). $34.49 with tax and delivery.
Note: the power supply has black tabs the you push away from the grey power supply case. One tab in front and one in back. The grey power supply box pulls right out of the printer. The internal connector (six colored wires) pulls straight out (there is no release tab/catch). Use small screwdriver or needle nose plyers to carefully remove. Pull/pry the female white nylon connector. Do not pull on the wires.

Make sure that the power is coming directly from the wall outlet. DO NOT use a surge protector.
Power off for 30 minutes. Power back on. If error returns, replace the fuser.

How do you get the ink cartridge out of the printer

    1. Unplug your Kodak Photo Dock's power cord. Pull the black tab on the right side of the printer down to open the ink cartridge door.
    2. 2 Push up on the green cartridge release tab in the upper center of the ink cartridge to release the old cartridge. Pull the old ink cartridge carefully from the Photo Dock.
    3. 3 Rotate the new ink cartridge's ribbon wheel on the side of the cartridge clockwise with your finger to remove any slack in the film. Do not rotate the wheel too much---this will damage the cartridge.
    4. 4 Insert the new ink cartridge into the Photo Dock with ribbon film facing down until you hear the cartridge click in place. The ink cartridge will only go in one way.

Do not touch the ribbon with your fingers. Handle the cartridge by its edges.
    5. 5 Close the ink cartridge door and plug in your Kodak Photo Dock's power cord.
    jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });
