Hi bign,

try the following things:

1:Try checking your ground connections, if they are good, then try regrounding the head unit to some bare metal in the dashboard, you could have a problem with the factory ground.

2:try looking at your speaker connections, sounds you have a wire grounding, try disconnecting all speakers and see if it does it. If not, try connecting one at a time, see if you can single out the speaker thats causing the problem

and also check to make sure the speaker terminals are not touching any metal, which is unlikely, because they are factory speakers.

god luck! and please rate this solution!

This works for the Furuno 1501-Make sure your connections are the same:#1 provide 15V & gnd to tuner(12V works) #2 connect coax between tuner & Xmtr / antenna to tuner #3 set radio to transmit CW carrier @ no more than 10W #4 momentarily short tune to gnd, this will initiate tune process. Watch SWR meter/ listen for tuner to complete, stop 10W carrier & return radio to normal status. I use mine remotely mounted with a 3 wire control cord & a box with a push button momentary switch back at the radio. Connections are 12V & gnd from the power supply to tuner, tune back to control box where the button shorts it to ground to tune.

Hi. I was just looking over the amp i have. Its a Boschmann 2500FX,300watt I was just woundering what the: GRD, B+ and REM stands for. If you could help me it would be good Thank you

GRD is ground, or negative, B+ is battery+ or positive, REM is remoter turn on and is used to turn the amp on. Most aftermarket radios use the blue/white wire to turn an amplifier on. On rare occaisions where there is just a blue wire, that would be the wire to turn your amp on.

AMP GRD, WHAT DO I DO ALL MY SPEAKERS ARE DISCONNECTED

Hi p3rty8,
"Amp Grd" protect in other brand is an error code for short and overload. Once the power applied to the unit and shorts sensed by the processor the unit will automatically turned to "Amp Grd" to avoid further damaged to other parts. Most shorts is in the supply voltage (B+, Vcc) line and most common caused is the sound output IC (mounted in heat sink). This part is responsible for amplifying the audio from the pre-amplifier stage and will feed to your speakers.
If you have a knowledge in disoldering and soldering technique, I would advice you to pull-out this part and then try the unit. If the "Amp Grd" error code is gone then you must replaced this IC with a new one to back your unit in normal operation again.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!

Nitro 483 amp where do you hook up the power it has a gnd rmt and +12v what hooks up where

Fused 12 volt power wire from the battery connects to +12V at the amp. Chassis ground wire connects to gnd at the amp. Switched 12 volt power wire (accessory) (remote turn on from after market radio) connects to rmt at the amp.

How to hook up my amp?

first what are u trying to push, second, the amp is 150w rms. that mean constant power, and 250 @ 2 ohms, now you have power, gnd=ground, and remote<- that turns the amp on when you turn on the car, power or the + sign is what gets connected to the battery, then the ground/gnd or - sign is what gets screwed to the metal of the car, then there is the remote this wire gets connected to your radio, or to any accessory fuse, i.e. lighter, radio fuse, or if you have an aftermarket radio, then it gets connected to the blue with white stripe wire, that will be the amp turn on wire.
You will need red wire about 17ft, black wire about 1ft, and 15 to 16 ft of remote wire, or you can just by an amp kit, that will be easier.
now that the amp is done, time to do the speakers;
You have + and - on the amp, and your speakers have the same signs as well, just make sure when you wire the speakers + goes to + and - goes to -. if you need more help call me @ 6314330567

My fully charged 3g Iphone in the Bose Sounddock it keeps poppin

Try putting your iPhone into "Airplaine" mode. It's possible that the radio frequencies from your phone are interfearing with the speakers in your sound dock.

My clarion cd player in my boat was working fine now it says amp grd. I have looked but i see nothing unhooked what can i do to get sound out of my speakers?

Remove all the speaker wires.

Power the radio back on and verify it is not the radio at fault.

If it powers up, check the speakers with a Digital Multimeter set to OHMS 20x.

Each speaker should have a resistance of 4 ohms. (or 8 in some cases)

Any variance (+/- .5ohms) means the voicecoil is blown, and replace that speaker.
