Two solutions for you:
1) Download the file from
http://www.dlllab.com/getdll/3006.html
or from
http://www.dlldll.com/cnmdrv.dll_download.html
rename file into CNMDRV.DL_
(be sure that in your folder options "hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked)
When installations prompts for file point to location. If it's necessary do the same procedure with other DLL files.
2) Download a whole fresh driver right from manufacturer's web page:

How to scan a document on the laptop

You will need to ensure you have installed the cannon software correctly, as it comes with a method for scanning to the connected computer.

The Software you are looking for is
MP Navigator EX, it has an option to "Scan/Import" this will fire up the Multifunction scanner or just pressing scan on the multifunction after the software is installed will be sufficient.

So Drivers & Cannon Software are required
MP240 series MP Driver & MP Navigator EX

Problem using OCR with Canon MP610 all-in-one

I got this message too, before I installed an OCR program. It may be that you need to install one (or specify it, if you have one already). With my MP610, an installation disk was included that contained the OmniPage SE program for OCR. When I installed that on my computer, and told MP Navigator (another Canon-supplied program, that controls scanning) to use it as the "Open With" program for OCR, it worked.
