I have the same problem, I have sent numerous emails to Vivitar support and never got any replies.
I called them directly and they told me that they are not offering any support / driver for this particular model.
Next time you buy a camera, leave Vivitar's models on the shelf.
The software came with my camera, received as a Christmas gift (no doubt a "regift"). The drivers and software work fine on XP but as soon as you finally get to see a picture taken with that camera you will likely toss it out or "regift" it yourself.
