You need to do head cleaning in your printer maintinence,

go to your control panel, find printer and faxes, open and right click on your printer. on the options select printer prefrences then maintinence tab, from there do head cleaning. you will have to keep running it till the test page prints clear and it does use a lot of your ink

hope it helps

Right hand side page print quality very poor, almost unreadable

this is cause of the lens is dirty with toner droping..
open the front cover and on the right side, there is a level for you to pull out.. at the right side of the printer, open the small cover and you will be able to find a cleaner. To clean..pull out the holder few times.. by applying slight pressure..that will clean the bottom lens..and u should be able to print out fine now..

My printer shows ayellow light - toner save-and prints faint

You have change the toner save mode first, in the printing window you have a properties options in that you change the mode of printing, if you turn off the toner saver mode in the properties option you can print the documents in normal, dark printing formats. Thank you.

OfficeJet G85 Makes Unreadable Copies

Usually, it's the print cartridge. I recently installed a new black cartridge on a 6110 printer and it, too, was very faint in printing. It turned out to be "dried up", even though it was a new cartridge in a sealed bag (but purchased in 2005).

Black cartridge not activating properly

There's a blue protective strip on the bottom of the cartridge when you buy it, and it needs to be removed before you put the cartridge in the printer.
