Can you hook up an hp printer to a hp laptop pavillion?
If possible, I need the instructions for hooking up my hp printer to my hp laptop pavillion temporarily for printing off some applications. Pleas help me w/which post and one thing, I can't find the disc that came w/the printer.

First hook a spare monitor to the video output jack usually on the back, if picture comes up! it indicates a bad inverter board, or the backlight has stopped working, if the spare shows the same problem, it means the video graphics card is defective and normally built into the motherboard.
You have to make a couple of tools, I used paper clips, make a thing with a tiny Hook on the ends, get at eye level, and using those Hooks, and someone helping to press in slightly, try to hook at the bottom sides and withdraw, it is real fiddly, but I have done it on many occasions.
This question requires a techincal person to first, attach an external monitor to the laptop to see if there is video going to the external monitor? Then while the external monitor is hooked up he should run full diagnostics to see if the motherboard video adapter is fully functional? If it is? He has to open the laptop and trace to see if the plug from the motherboard to the monitor needs to be reseated. The worst case scenario is you will have to replace the motherboard.
