Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.

hello, usualy in this cases the memory is the problem, any way if u already buyed 1GB ram ,wait until u get it and change it, let hope will resolve all problems, u can get an UBCD live cd and make some hdd and memory tests from it, and then if still dont work u can go to a specialst.
because will be a lose of money to go to a center now after u already got the RAM

this is my advice because is imposible to some one to resolv this whit out beeing infront of laptop

Extended ram fail at address 1F how can i remove this error

First try reseating the RAM modules, if the error returns then replace the RAM in the PC. If you have more than one RAM module, you may only need to replace one of them.
You should be able to access them from a panel on the bottom of the notebook which snap out or need a very small screwdriver. Remove one ad try pc, Then replace it and remove other. Retry pc.
You should be able to download the manual from here. http://uploading.com/files/get/de348d17/
Hopefully it will show you exactly where ram is. It the module, usually should be clipped in place on the sides, and when released it will rotate upwards and out. Carefully place it in the slot straight, and firmly snap down into place without forcing.

To buy a replacement, take the old one with you to a computer store. Best buy, Tiger Direct, Frys Compusa, Circuit City etc..
By online order.. 2 GB DDR3 for laptop.
Should look this this.. narseman_4.jpg

You obviously didn't read the problem carefully. The machine won't boot, so there is no command line. I have the same problem with a T23. It might be the CMOS battery that needs to be replaced.

Getting write/read failure at 2F7EB56C

That is usually an indication of a Memory Address Failure. Most systems have 2 RAM modules, try the modules one at a time, see if the error goes away. If the error only occurs with one module, then replace that module.

If the error occurs with either RAM module, then it could also be a Hard Disk Drive error. If you can, run diagnostics from the F12 boot menu or the resource CD. If the Hard drive fails diagnostics, replace the drive.

Installed more memory into Compaq V2000

The new ram you have installed, is it the same speed/type as what is already in the system?
Take out the new ram and leave the old in. Try and boot. If all ok, swap out the old ram for the new and see if you can boot. If the system does not boot when trying one of the above, you know it's bad ram. If the system boots with the old ram and the new ram installed seperately, i'ts likely that you have two different types of ram. Check your old ram and see what spec it is. Your new ram should be the same. Compaq do not list a four beep error on boot, but my guess is conflicting ram.

Error message after installing memory ram upgrade.....

The memory appears to be the right kind.

Try installing just one 1GB module, and run the diagnostics (press F12 at boot time and select diagnostics).

Good luck!
