Problem with my system

My system reboots automatically whenever am powering up

    Windows will not start up. It begins to load, then the computer restarts. It is a continuos loop.

    So you start your system, then at what point does it reboot..is it before or after the Windows screen comes on..it makes a difference..let me know we'll get you fixed up.

when you turned on your computer, while it is booting, press the del button of your keyboard to go the bios set up and look for the power option and adjust the settings.

Help with this


Mostly points to software problem, but same thing happened to my friends pc and it turned out to be smps problem, if possible try another smps.

My pc is restarting automatically continously when i turn on my


Does it show BLUE Screen, or does it show the Windows loading before it restarts?

If Bluescreen, something happened to root system files and you need to REPAIR
1. Shut down PC, pull out all USB devices, Floppies and insert Win CDROM
2. Power on
3. Press any key to boot from CDROM
4. Select Install
5. Select Repair
6. Ans questions and let run 30min
7. Remove CDROM
8. Reboot - it should work now

If Windows Logo, A device or driver you or MS or Mozilla or... installed for you malfunctioned and you need to start in LAST KNOWN GOOD mode
1. Reboot
2. Press F8 and hold down
3. Enter Password if asked
4. Select "Last Known Good"
5. When stable and logged in, Reboot

Have you tried powering down the laptop, and rebooting with your recovery disk in the drive? If that doesn't work, try rebooting again with an external keyboard attached. If the external keyboard works, then it's not your OS.

Booting problem


RIGHT Click...
My Computer
From the menu choose Properties
Click the Advanced tab
Click Startup and Recovery
Under the system failure area take the check OUT of the box that says Automatically Restart.

Windows XP sucks on 128MB, get yourself more memory, go to 1 Gig.
Your problem could also be hardware such as a power supply so re-comment if the suggestion did not work for you.
