Question about Hotpoint Ovens
This oven only 3 years old now takes 30 - 40 minutes to get to a medium temp such as 150 deg. Both top & bottom elements appear to heat up. It is no quicker on fan either - again element works. It gets there eventually, even to 200 (about 1 hr)
You may have one leg of power that is out. First turn off the breakers, then back on. Check it to see if it is better. Then check the wiring from the receptacle, to the plug, to the back of the oven. Look inside the back of it and see if you see any fuses. They could be blown as well. If you are getting some heat (red) then it is an indication of a wiring or fuse problem. Now, one last thought here, if you turn it to high heat does it heat up faster? This one lead it to be in the control switch. Let me know how you do.
