I don't think there is direct format code. If you wish to format the memory card, you can do it after connecting the phone via usb cable to the computer as "Mass Storage" mode. If you mean resetting and deleting all the phone's memory, please click this LINK and follow the instructions. Good Luck.

At the bottom end of the phone, there is a sticker (directly beneath the last row of numerals * 0 #. In my case it says Vodafone on it and is silver. Carefully peel that up using a craft knife. The other 2 screws are beneath it. The phone halves then separate. As for taking the guts out of the phone, I have yet to figure that out myself. Good luck with it.
