I'm trying to program a Comcast cable remote silver with red ok button to operate my Sony BDP-S3200 Blu-ray/DVD player and need the code please.

This is a Comcast baby - U are paying them plenty for the service - they should help you with the remote. Don't let them off the hook.

Is my Magnavox 1T HDD rECORDER COMPABILE WITH cOMCAST cable Box ?

If your Comcast box has a composite output, you'll be able to record SD shows. Use RCA composite video and audio cables between the box and the recorder. You'll have to set the box to the channel you want to record and leave it on. Then set the HDD/DVD unit to record from video input (L1 rear, L2 front) for the appropriate length of time. The manual explains this. The manual is available from Funai who built the unit with the Magnavox name: http://funaiport.com/upload/MAGNAVOX/Manual/MDR537H_EN_OM.pdf . See pages 19 and 42. If your TV and/or cable box only have a limited number of video inputs/outputs, you may need to daisy chain the composite video cables from the cable box to the DVD/HDD unit's video in. Then connect another composite cable from the DVD/HDD video out to the TV.

This Magnavox unit can only read analog (NTSC) cable video signals without a set top box. You will not be able to record a show and then watch another with the cable box.

I hope this helps.

(I know that my cable system's box has a composite video out. So it does work with most of the Comcast boxes. Many of the manuals are available here: http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/cable-box-user-manuals/ )

I can not program my Sony remote to control my Comcast DCI105COM cable box

Check with other codes. If you wish to get more setup codes, three digits, four digits or five digit ones, check this link. Pull up older posts there. Setup code list and setup instructions to some popular model remote controls are given. Select the 'Timeslide' option from the drop-down list by the 'Sidebar' at the display window. It will make search easy.

I have a Toshiba SD-K860SU DVD video player that I have connected to my Panasonic TC-32LX60 LCD TV, but I cannot get the DVD player to work. My TV is connected to my Comcast cable service black box. Should...

You should use the component video input (which ever the TV has), you will get better pictures than the S-video.
As far as the remote control for the DVD, keep using the one that comes with your DVD player, Comcast remote does not always work, beside you get full function using the DVD's remote, that is how I use my DVD, same for the TV, Comcast remote my not be able to send out the signals to the ATV for selecting the input sources on the TV. Comcast remote is not a full functions remote.

Can't find code

it would need to be programmed, need to know the make of your dvd player. But really most people dont program it because it is a pain. Every time you turn your tv and cable box on you will also turn on the dvd player and then have to turn it off. so it is better just to turn in on when you need it.

Recording with comcast hd box and toshiba VCR/DVD

1st, see if you can get another cable box that offers component as well as RCA outputs on the back. Does your cable box have S Video out and does your toshiba have S Video in? If so, hook up the S Video from cable box to Toshiba. Then hook up R&W audio from Cable Box out to Toshiba In. Set the channel on the cable box to what you want to record. Set Toshiba to record channel 3 or 4, whichever your Toshiba is set on. The cable box controls the channel you are recording. You cannot set the recorder to the channel you want to record. It must be either 3 or 4. Try it. If everything else fails, you have to go cable from wall to cable in on cable box, cable out on cable box to cable in on Toshiba then either cable or RCA out on Toshiba to TV.
