I'm using GIMP to try to create falling snow. The 1st snow image has snow covering the image, the 2nd has the snow moved down 12.5 pixels, the 3rd has the snow moved down another 12.5 pixels, etc. until I...

How are you playing it? are you trying to create an animated gif?

If so, do the following:-

Create a file, with each of your snow images as layers, then

File-> Save As.

Name the image, then go to "Select File Type."

Make it a .gif image, and then click save.

GIMP gives you the option of flattening it or creating an animated gif. Click the button that says "Save as Animation", and then click export.

Then you get to alter a few more variables in the next dialog box (- you can set the frame rate (a higher number makes the animation go faster) )

Then once saved, load it up in an internet browser, and it should work.

Once you've saved you're gif image, open it up in your image viewer. If your normal image viewer doesn't show the animation, try opening it in Firefox or Internet Explorer. You can do this by right clicking on the file, and selecting "Open With." Then choose your internet browser, and you're all set!

Here is the small sample code. This will convert the lower case letter to upper case letter from left to right character by character.

TextField.prototype.caseAnimation = function(str) {
    var tf = this;
    tf.upperIx = 0;
    tf.str = str;
    var id = setInterval(moveUppercaseLetter, 100);

    function moveUppercaseLetter() {
        var str1 = tf.str.slice(0, tf.upperIx);
        var str2 = tf.str.charAt(tf.upperIx).toUpperCase();
        var str3 = tf.str.slice(tf.upperIx+1, tf.str.length);
        tf.str = str1+str2+str3;
        tf.text = tf.str;
        tf.str = tf.str.toLowerCase();
        tf.upperIx++;
        if (tf.upperIx>tf.str.length-1) {
            tf.upperIx = 0;
        }
    }
};

this.createTextField("animated_txt", 1000, 0, 0, 500, 25);
animated_txt.setNewTextFormat(new TextFormat("_typewriter", 16));
animated_txt.caseAnimation("pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs");

if you want to import any image, it has to be saved with a transparent background, like a (.gif or .png) image.. for example if you have an image i.e plane.jpeg you need to open it in an image editing software like adobe photoshop and delete the background save the image as plane.png and import the plane.png to flash. You can edit the picture in flash also to remove the background.. but the process is not easy and its time consuming. so try that workaround like i said before let us know if it worked.

Flush command buttons how to download it?

Hi Bhavin, You search for software like button maker from free software download sites. Now if you r using VB or any other frond end application then save the above made buttons in *.gif format. Then you put that image in your button's image. If you r using java then put that gif image in to your button image. And if you want some animation in it then follow this link.. http://www.pageplugins.com/generators/crazy_text/flashgen.php Generate any flash text u want. and use it in your project.
