Question about Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000E Front Load Washer
Many of the directions for washing quilt fabric suggest that you fill the machine with water first and then add the low sudsy soap. I usually use Orvus Paste for washing quilt fabric and am afraid it is quite sudsy. I do have some of the Orvus in a spray bottle so it does liquify when added to water. Has anyone any suggestions for me?
You will have to experiment a little, You will use less soap and add fabric softener to the soap. The fabric softener helps decrease the sudsing action of the soap. This is not condoned by the manufacturer, but it does work.
We use a powdered soap and have found that about 1/3 the soap and just less than a 1/2 cap of softener works best. (the soap we prefer is not available in a "he" formula). Mix the soap and softener prior to adding it to the machine. works for us, hope it works for you too.
