You need to make it multi region. You can either pay for it:
http://www.multiregionupgrades.com/upgrades/panasonic/scht1500.htm

or do it yourself.
0082 0015 0089 0004 00F2 0033 0017 0010 0091 0013

You can enter these codes with a PocketPC using TV Remote Controller and making a CCF file with these codes. Or use a Palm with Omniremote. Make sure no disc in the player when entering this code.

Please rate this solution if it helps.

Is there a way to change the region code on a Sony HCD-S300 Please?

Unfortunately, you have a DVD player that is "Region Specific" and cannot be changed. Your system has a region code printed on the back of the unit and will only play DVDs that are labeled with identical region codes. DVDs labeled "ALL" will also play in this unit. If you try to play any other DVD, the message " Playing this disc is prohibited by area limits." will appear on the TV screen. Depending on the DVD, no region code indication may be labeled even though playing is prohibited by area limits.

Have an aussie ps3 trying 2 play dvd and it says region code incorrect how do i fix this

The PS3s' DVD and Blu-Ray player is region locked. This means that your Australian PS3 can only play DVD and Blu-Ray movies made for the region Australia is in or are region free (region code 0).

For DVD's, Australia is region code 4.
For Blu-Ray, Australia is region code B or region code 2.

Although this doesn't help your current problem, the PS3 is region free for PS3 games (you can play games from any region).

To work around this, I propose either ripping the DVD to your computer, then burning it onto a different DVD or streaming the DVD directly from your computer to the PS3. Streaming is definitely the better bet if you have more DVD's from another region.

To rip and burn your own copy, use a blank DVD disc and DVD burning/ripping software such as Nero.

To stream to your PS3, check out the following:
PS3 Media Server (my personal favorite) for PC
TVersity for PC
MediaLink for Mac

Enjoy your movie (hopefully)!

I recently moved from the US to Australia and brought my Cinego D-1000 with me. Sadly it does not play australian DVDs. how do I change the region? bendavidson10r@gmail.com

Hi, I have just done a bit of research on this unit, and while I live in new zealand, the australian and new zealand broadcast systems are similar as well as both using region code 4. My experience with american video devices has shown that american manufacturers do not normally produce multisystem devices to be used in other parts of the world and as such would most likely not work with the australian broadcast system never mind region 4 discs. I would strongly suggest you ensure that the unit is capable of dealing with a PAL signal first before you even bother with trying to multizone it. PS the zone coding was created by the american movie consortium and as such, it will be very unlikely you will find a region hack for this unit.
Cheaper to ditch the unit and purchase a local DVD player and projector.
PS you will get a better (albeit slightly duller) picture with a decent LCD projector. I strongly recommend the Panasonic PT-AE700 or later. You will be impressed.

Dvd region codes

Try this (for a LH-T360SE)

Open disk tray and press 0000, a two line menu appears with "Edit Region _" and "Region Code:x" put in required region (presumably 0) and press enter. Region Code:0 appears. power off and enjoy.

region code 0 is No region restrictions.
