Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU53 Built-in Dishwasher
Water remains in the bottom of dishwasher after cycle is complete. We tried the bypass of Cancel and drain. It runs for 10 sec, than stops for 10 sec then runs for 20 second then stops of 20 seconds then runs again for 30 sec. Water does not drain. Dishwasher is noisy when drain is acivated. I cleaned the trap and remove thecover where the little wheel
Kindly check for the following :
Check for hose kinks or food plugging drain hose. Start at the drain port exit.
Check the check valve and drain hose for debris.
Check pump motor for reversing during the pump out make sure the dishwasher is pausing between the wash and drain cycles letting the pump/motor reverse for the drain cycle.
Check pump motor assembly for a drain solenoid, during the pump out make sure the solenoid makes that distinctive "clunk" noise
If you have recently installed a new garbage disposal, check knock-out plug at connection.
Check pump impeller for damage.
Check that the water inlet valve isn't seeping fresh water into the dishwasher when off.
Please contact for any further clarifications.
A Fixya Rating would be appreciated if.

Have you checked to make sure that the pump is actually pumping and not just running? if not then check it for power voltage it should be steady not jumping around

Tips for a great answer:

Have you tried canceling the cycle? To cancel, turn the on/off switch to on, then press and hold for three seconds the two buttons labeled "Cancel Drain". Keep the door closed for the next minute so that the dishwasher can complete the cycle. During this time the pump will remove any water from the washer. Also you will notice that Bosch dishwashers always leave a little water in the system to keep the seals from drying out and going bad.
Hope this helps
