Check whether your brush is still in warranty. Either way take it to an oral-B certified shop for fixing as there's no point paying to have it fixed by someone who doesn't really know what they are doing. Good luck

If you've had the brush out to clean it you need to re-set the trip switch which is a red button at the right side of the brush simply press it in till it clicks.
The noise, is it a grinding noisy like worn bearings?
put the washer on drain only - is the pump working ok, take the filter out to see if it is turning ok, does that make a strange noise?
If the pump is fine, its back to that noise, it could be be a faulty tacho on the motor ( regulates the spin speed) or motor bearings - has the motor spindle a lot of play on it?
Let me know how you get on and good look!
will the drum go round when on a wash. and is it drianing water out if the drum goes round its not your brushes. if it not emptying water you pump as gone and will not spin if there is water in the drum
Sometimes the Brushes on the motor can cause intermitten rotation. The brushes are the electrical contacts for the motor to rotate. When they wear down or degrade (and need replacing) under spin conditions the motor may fail to turn as it may have hit a dead spot on the motors commutator.
Best course of action is to see if the Brushes need replacing. The cost of new Brushes is < £20. The labour may be vastly more if you pay someone - but it should be done in less the 0.5 hour.
Brushes usually come in pairs (Pack of two).
If your unit is hotpoint I can offer some instruction on how to fit yourself.
