Question about Sony PFM-42B1 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
I have my Sony plasma hooked up to computer right now and when I have my resolution set to most any resolution, things run just fine. But, when I set it to 720p, the colors dim and I get a 1/2 inch wide black bar over near the left side of the screen. Any suggestions?
Yes, stop using a plasma TV as a computer monitor. Using the TV this way is an invitation to phosphur burn which these are very prone to. The issue you describe is due to the limitations of the TVs scaler circuit to properly center the image in 720P.
